The thing that continues to annoy me with McCain's little attack 'Yorkie' (Sarah Palin) is that she keeps misquoting the same things that have already been clarified. McCain is getting so desperate that he drug his wife into lying today by saying that by Barack Obama voting against a bill to fund the troops "chilled her to the soul" (or some such crap). But the record speaks for itself, Obama voted against troop funding also as the bill did not contain a time-line for withdrawal. McCain voted against one because it did contain a time-line for withdrawal (different times separated by about 2 months).
The hate that the Republicans are generating at their rallies are reminiscent of rallies in Germany before World War II by Hitler.
It all boils down to the old adage that if you repeat a lie often enough, people will become to believe it's the truth. So, the Republics keep repeating the same lies. It just shows their desperation.
I live in Florida. I know, you all think we can't seem to hold an election without screwing it up. But some interesting facts that I would like to point out is the area in which I live--that is South Florida--in the 2000 election, Al Gore won Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. The same happened in 2004 for John Kerry. Today, in 2008, Barack Obama is "of course" leading here but also he is leading STATEWIDE. There is a very good chance that Obama will put Florida into the Blue column this year.
Our only problem area remains the I-4 corridor (from Tampa across the state to the Space Coast), but opinions are starting to change.
So, let Sarah Palin continue to repeat the same crap that has already been clarified and let her continue nipping at the heels of a giant--it will do little good in the end.
John McCain will continue to show his distain of Barack in the next debate and the continuing downward spiral of the economy will only go to strengthen Barack Obama.
My opinion, is that the top of the Republican ticket, i.e. McCain/Palin, are either stupid or insane. Bring it on!
